Olivia Rodrigo se impone en los Billboard 2022 con siete premios

Una noche de ensueño para Olivia Rodrigo: la cantante de traitor se coronó como la máxima ganadora de los premios Billboard 2022 y entró a la lista de las nuevas estrellas que arrancaron su participación con un buen inicio.

La intérprete estuvo a un reconocimiento de igualar el récord que en 1998 marcó el grupo Next, que en sus primera ceremonia se alzó con ocho premios, algo que repitió en 2002 Ashanti.

Sour es el nombre del disco con el que la compositora estadounidense de 19 años llegó a esta gala en la que se enfrentó a otras luminarias como Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Drake, Kanye West y por supuesto Taylor Swift.

Billboard recordó que fue hace 16 meses que la carrera de Olivia Rodrigo tuvo un impulso mundial a partir de su tema Drivers license, que se desprendió de su primer álbum.

Detrás de la también actriz de Bizaardvark estuvo Kanye West, quien se llevó seis premios en total. El tercer lugar lo ocuparon Drake, Justin Bieber y The Kid Laroi, cada uno con cinco reconocimientos.

La cuarta posición fue para Taylor Swift y Doja Cat, cada una con un total de cuatro premios Billboard, siendo la intérprete de Kiss me more la que tomó un fuerte impulso durante la ceremonia televisada por TNT.
