Succession domina las nominaciones de los Critics Choice Awards 2022

La temporada de premios está muy cerca y comienzan a barajarse los nombres de las producciones favoritas. Este lunes se reveló que Succession, de HBO, domina las nominaciones de tv en los Critics Choice Awards 2022.

En esta primera tanda de nombres destacó la serie creada por Jesse Armstrong, que en este momento transmite su temporada tres y de la que ya se anunció una cuarta parte.

En los Critics Choice Awards 2022, esta producción contiende en las categorías a Mejor Serie Dramática, Mejor actor en una serie dramática (2), Mejor actor de reparto en una serie dramática (3) y Mejor actriz de reparto en una serie dramática (2).

Succession, protagonizada por Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook y Matthew Macfadyen, cuenta con nueve premios Emmy, siete de ellos obtenidos en la gala de 2020, superando en la categoría a Mejor drama a The Crown y The Handmaid’s Tale.

A las ocho oportunidades que tiene esta historia, de lejos le siguen Evil, de Paramount+, y Mare of Easttown, de HBO, con cinco nominaciones cada una.

Only Murders in the Building, de Hulu; Ted Lasso, de Apple TV+; The good fight, de Paramount+; This is us, de NBC; y WandaVision, de Disney+, tienen cuatro oportunidades de obtener un galardón en los Critics Choice Awards 2022.

Ed Martin, presidente de la rama televisiva de los premios, aseguró a través de un comunicado que la industria todavía se recupera de las afectaciones por el Covid-19, pero están satisfechos con los nominados de este año.

“Si bien las plataformas de streaming continúan abriendo nuevos caminos con algunas ofertas maravillosamente inesperadas, ha sido un año inusualmente fuerte para todas las áreas de la televisión”, añadió.

Con Succession y Mare of Easttown, entre otras series, HBO es la compañía con más nominaciones en esta edición, pues cuenta en total con 20. Le siguen Netflix, con 18; Hulu, con 11; y Apple TV+ y HBO Max, con nueve.

Los Critics Choice Awards se llevarán a cabo el próximo 9 de enero de 2022 desde el Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel, en Los Ángeles.
