Estas son las películas nominadas a los Critics Choice Awards

La semana pasada nos llevamos la sorpresa de Succession como la favorita de los Critics Choice Awards de televisión, pero esta vez son West Side Story y Belfast las que dominan en lo que corresponde al cine.

El largometraje de Steven Spielberg, conocido por producciones legendarias como Jaws, Jurassic Park y ET. El extraterrestre, cuenta con 11 candidaturas en total, entre ellas Mejor película, Mejor Actriz, Mejor Elenco y Mejor Director.

El primer musical de este realizador es la adaptación cinematográfica de una puesta en escena de Broadway y cuenta una historia de amor que será protagonizada por Ansel Elgort y Rachel Zegler.

Belfast cuenta con 11 nominaciones y enfrentará en varias categorías a West Side Story. La cinta es dirigida por Kenneth Branagh y cuenta con las actuaciones de Jude Hill, Lewis McAskie, Caitriona Balfe, Jamie Dornan y Judi Dench, entre otros.

Dune les sigue muy de cerca también con 10 candidaturas, pero quien se coló también como uno de los favoritos en esta edición de los Critics Choice Awards es el mexicano Guillermo del Toro, quien recientemente estrenó Nightmare Alley.

La nueva película del director de El laberinto del fauno, The shape of water y Cronos cuenta con ocho nominaciones. A pesar de las oportunidades que sumó en estos reconocimientos, carece de candidaturas en los Golden Globes.
